A member-led initiative addressing litter problems in a local city.
One of our members, Jonatán, submitted a proposal addressing litter and waste management issues in their local community. The proposal highlighted concerns about rubbish being left in public spaces, including plastic waste and cigarette butts, and suggested practical measures to help keep the city cleaner.
The proposal called for the installation of additional public bins and the introduction of signage encouraging people to dispose of waste responsibly. These recommendations were designed to make proper waste disposal more accessible while raising public awareness about littering.
Following a vote by the Youth4Earth community, the proposal received majority support from members and was approved. The initiative demonstrates how young people can identify local environmental challenges and develop constructive solutions to address them.
