Encouraging local biodiversity through simple actions on Earth Day.
For Earth Day 2026, Y4E member Amolika Das launched a community initiative encouraging people to take small but meaningful actions to support local biodiversity. Participants were invited to plant at least one native plant and set up a bird nest in their garden, balcony, or outdoor space.
The initiative aimed to promote habitat creation for local wildlife while raising awareness of the importance of protecting and restoring biodiversity within our own communities. Members were also encouraged to invite friends and family to take part, helping to spread the impact even further.
We were delighted to see many Youth4Earth members participate in the initiative, sharing their contributions and celebrating Earth Day through positive action for nature. 🌱🐦🌍
